The Lunya Washable Silk Robe is one of the most luxurious robes out there, thanks to its soft and comfortable natural fibers. The high-quality silk is perfect for those relaxing moments when all you want to do is lounge. We loved that there were elastic cuffs around the wrist to keep the billowy sleeves from covering our hands.
The robe's incredibly plush and comfy texture remained unchanged after being machine-washed. We appreciated the long, flowy fabric because it was proportionate to our arms and fell just below the knee. Even though you can’t use this silk robe for drying off after a shower because the material is so thin, we preferred it to heavy terrycloth. We also liked that the robe had pockets that could hold lighter items, although we found that trying to carry our cell phone in the pocket really weighed the robe down on one side.
Really, the only sticking point we had with this robe was that the string around the waist was too thin. It had trouble staying closed unless you tied it very tightly. Still, this robe is the perfect choice for luxury and comfort, and you'll find yourself lounging around year-round.

The fabric is so soft that it was like wrapping ourselves in a warm hug. We liked that you could wear this robe in the morning and evenings without overheating, which means we can wear it year-round.
The pockets will come in handy if you like to lounge in robes. The robe has ties on the inside and outside (but stayed tied with just the outside ones), and we found it to be the perfect length, coming down to just above the ankle. During testing, we did notice some loose strings and white fuzz shedding, but after a couple of washes, they were no longer an issue. This is one of those robes we can’t recommend enough because of its absorbency and warmth.

Coyuchi makes some of the best robes, which is why their organic waffle robe made our list. Waffle robes aren’t as plush as other robes, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t soft. This waffle robe is absorbent and great for wearing right out of the shower or while lounging around in our PJs. Another great thing about waffle robes is that they rarely shed or wrinkle. Thanks to the waffle weave, you can leave your robe in the dryer for days and still have it come out nice and smooth.
The robe is lightweight enough to wear year-round without overheating; however, it may not be ideal for higher temperatures or direct sun. We liked how it seemed to be temperature-regulating, too. The robe has two large pockets and full-length sleeves, loosely fitting around the armpits, and the length was just above the ankles, giving us complete coverage and comfort.

This robe is light and airy but durable, and it was very absorbent and maintained its quality after several washes. We did notice that the large pockets could hold a phone or hairbrush, but any overstuffing would weigh down the robe.
It may be thin, but it’s very absorbent and helped dry us off after showering. Because of its thinner construction, it's better to be used after a light towel drying. We could wear this just about every day and not worry about being too cold or overheated. The robe is shorter in length and may not always be perfect for the winter months, but it will be excellent for spring, summer, and fall.

The name says it all—The Four Seasons Spa Robe is our best hotel-style robe. What can we say? This robe is great for just about any situation. It’s perfect for just getting out of the shower after towel drying. It’s ideal for lounging with or without PJs and, dare we say, great for those quick power naps on the couch. We loved how the microfiber and microsuede material kept the robe wrinkle-free and feeling luxurious. Unfortunately, this robe wasn’t the greatest at absorbing water, but what this robe lacked in absorbency, it made up in comfort and warmth.
This robe was so comfortable, like we were walking around, wrapped in a fluffy white cloud. Even with all this luxury and comfort, we found it easy to overheat in this robe, making it a better option for colder seasons like winter, spring, and fall. We loved how the robe stayed tied with the belt, how easily the pockets accommodated our phone and snacks, and that the ankle length. Overall, it felt like we spent the day at the hotel spa. The only thing missing was room service.

It’s a very comfortable and high-quality robe made with charmeuse silk, a specific weave of silk threads. The robe is machine washable, but we opted for hand-washing and air drying, and although it wrinkled, we hung it up for a couple of days and they naturally went away. We liked that it was breathable and lounge-worthy during movie night.
We didn’t have any trouble keeping the belt tied; it even comes with an extra tie for added security. The lightweight material was perfect and felt high-quality. Cuyana apparel tends to run on the larger side, so consider sizing down for a more cozy fit. The robe length was mid-thigh, and the sleeves extended to the wrists. This robe is the perfect gift for new moms or as a birthday gift for that special someone.

If you’re looking for a plush robe that anyone can wear, we recommend Parachute's Classic Turkish Cotton Robe. The wrinkle-free material, which is made from high-quality cotton, is like a fluffy hotel towel wrap but slightly softer and super absorbent. After washing, we did notice some loose strings that weren’t there prior, but that didn’t affect the look or feel of the robe.
We felt cozy enough in the robe to wear it around the house and found it would be great in all types of weather except on hot days. While it was great for laying on the couch, it was a bit too bulky for household chores, and we found it affected our morning routines like blow-drying our hair or applying makeup.
This Parachute robe also has large, deep pockets that don’t seem to get weighted down. The color was a beautiful earth tone (we tested the Moss), and the 100% Turkish cotton robe soaked up water like a sponge. The only thing we would change is the size—we recommend sizing down.

Our team member who tested this robe says that wearing it “feels like being enveloped by a warm hug,” and praised it for being just heavy enough to feel luxurious while maintaining enough lightness to prevent overheating. When worn straight out of the shower, it absorbed water quickly. It features an adjustable waist belt and despite having no interior tie, had no problems staying securely closed.

The L.L.Bean Men’s Scotch Plaid Flannel Robe is crafted from long-staple cotton for the best possible fabric strength and quality. We loved the flannel’s brushed softness, flexibility, and warmth, although we felt it would probably be a little too warm for summer wear. The relaxed fit meant it was completely comfortable in a variety of positions, and even though it lacks an interior tie, the robe stayed firmly closed throughout testing. It features a chest pocket and two generous hip pockets.
The plaid prints are super smart, with some rich and vibrant options as well as more subtle colorways. Add a monogram for next-level lounging style. When we washed the robe, the colors stayed fast. There was no shedding, pilling, or stretching — in fact, the robe still looked brand new. It’s conveniently machine washable and dryer-safe and available in both regular and tall lengths. One of our team members who is over six feet tall found that the tall length fit well.

The Quince Washable Silk Robe is a relatively affordable, low-maintenance option for those who appreciate the skin-nourishing and thermoregulating properties of mulberry silk. We found it super soft and light, although there was more friction between the fabric and the skin than we’d usually expect from this material.
It’s also not particularly absorbent, so not a great option for those who want their robe to double as a towel. Nevertheless, we liked the thigh-skimming fit, the hand-sized hip pockets, and effective interior and exterior ties; not to mention the fact that it held up well to being washed in the machine. Perhaps our favorite feature of this robe is its oversized, outrageously cozy hood. It’s easy to maintain, too, being machine washable on a warm setting and dryer-safe on a low heat. After tons of wear and a full wash cycle, we couldn’t see any difference in the quality and softness of the material. The only downside? The robe isn’t particularly absorbent and felt uncomfortable during our post-shower test, suggesting it’s not meant for toweling purposes.

The SKIMS Soft Lounge Robe gives an impression of luxury with soft, almost buttery modal rib fabric that drapes beautifully and kept us at the ideal temperature throughout the testing period. This robe is relatively short and feels just like a lightweight cardigan. We think it works well on its own in summer and is perfect for layering over sleepwear in winter. This is a flattering piece that you can easily spend a whole day in.
Features include a functional side pocket and an adjustable belt. We didn’t use it to dry off after showering because it’s not meant as a toweling robe; however, we were impressed that it didn’t get noticeably wet despite contact with damp hair. The robe is carefully made, with no signs of fading or other wear-and-tear even after washing it. Choose yours in marble, onyx, or heather gray and consider pairing with other Skims loungewear pieces for a matching look.

Made from plush polyester fleece and retailing for less than a quarter of the cost of our overall winner, this bathrobe from NY Threads is a steal for budget shoppers. We loved how soft it was and appreciated that it remained so even after washing with no evidence of pilling or shedding. It’s lightly absorbent for toweling purposes, although we feel it’s meant more as comfortable, cold-weather loungewear.
Fit-wise, we suspect that taller people may be disappointed since a size large was about the right length for our five-foot-four team members’ frame, and the sleeves ended just above her wrists. Sizing isn’t particularly inclusive, either, with limited options available. Nevertheless, we liked the robe’s hip pockets (large enough to fit a phone) and the fact that it’s machine washable and dryer-safe. Colors are a highlight, too, with fun options ranging from coral and plum to leopard print.

Made from certified sustainable and ethical, organic Peruvian cotton, it feels almost silky with a high level of flexibility. It’s also surprisingly absorbent. We loved that it prevented wet hair from soaking through to our skin and also that it kept us warm despite its lightweight construction.

If you’re planning on taking your robe on vacation, bear in mind this one may be a little too bulky for convenient packing.
Available in cream or salt-and-pepper gray, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Stars Above robe considering how affordable this product is. Although the synthetic material doesn’t feel especially luxurious, it’s comfortable, and well-made with double-edged hems and securely stitched seams. It also didn’t pill, stretch, shed, or wrinkle at any time during testing, even after machine washing.
It’s fairly absorbent, too, helping us dry off completely after a cursory post-shower towel rub. It hits around mid-calf length for full-body coziness. We found it a little warm for summer but feel it would be ideal for fall and winter. The adjustable tie belt holds the robe firmly closed even with a simple half-knot. When tied tightly, the robe still offers impressive freedom of movement, and its twin side pockets are deep enough to hold your essentials.
