Any tips on fishing wire thru attic?

I just got back from harbor freight and noticed they had a round fiberglass fish tape coiled up. That would be good for this kind of stuff as it looked to be kinda stiff but flexible enough to go in the 12&#; coil it was in the package.
You could push or pull with it.
I have the multipiece set of fiberglass rods from Klein and use it a lot to stick something in from one side and then grab it with another piece of the set with a hook from the other side to pull it through.

I like the pvc stick idea. Going to add that to my bag of tricks.
